And Irene Is My Mother’s Middle Name

I didn’t find out about Hurricane Irene’s path until yesterday. I knew there was a hurricane coming, but I just thought hurricane + August = normal. I know it was headed to the eastern coast until yesterday. It’s a good thing my plan to go to Maryland didn’t come to fruition. Randy has vacation time right now, and my mom and I had wanted to go to Ocean City. Randy didn’t want to, and they went somewhere in PA instead. Thank God for that! My father’s side of the family lives in Maryland, so I got on Facebook for the first time in a while yesterday to see what was going on there. The hurricane isn’t affecting us much here, we’re just getting clouds from it, and it’s a little windy. Central and western PA are getting some storms and rain.

I had a bad night and morning on Thursday and Friday. I got two troubles from TFL saying my domain had been marked as an attack site. They didn’t say by who or give me any information about it. Google wasn’t blocking my domain, and I wasn’t getting any warnings from Norton. I spent 6 hours combing through every file and folder in my account and found nothing out of the ordinary. I submitted my sites to Norton and they marked them as clean. Finally, when Googling my domain I happened upon McAfee SiteAdvisor. McAfee itself didn’t mark the site as bad, but due to one bad rating by someone they consider to be a trusted, experienced reviewer (and who looks to me to be a spammer, due to the sheer volume of sites they review, and the fact they post the same review over and over again) they listed my site as risky. All the review said was “Reported http://www.malwaredomains.com/” I checked all of malwaredomains.com’s list and my site didn’t appear on any of them. And I don’t see how my domain could be mistaken for any on there because I didn’t find any similar ones. Maybe something I said pissed the reviewer off and they did that to get back at me.

I don’t think it’s right that McAfee let’s people ruin a sites reputation without confirming what they said is true. I also don’t think the kind of reviews that person leaves are appropriate. Doesn’t McAfee have rules for reviewing? Why are users allowed to leave one word reviews? Reviewers should be required to actually review. If they say something is wrong with the site they should have to say what is wrong, where it is, what they were doing. And all reviews should have to be unique. Users shouldn’t be able to post the same review for every site. McAfee is one of the worst anti-virus programs and their site is obviously unreliable. I don’t understand why anyone uses them, when there’s Kaspersky, and even Norton. Norton may not be wonderful, but it gets the job done.

I contacted McAfee to dispute my sites rating, explaining that no other sites had found any problems with my domain, and that my site didn’t appear on any of malwaredomains.com’s listed, and that it doesn’t seem like it ever did. When I got on later someone from McAfee had gotten back to me, and my sites rating was fixed. At least their reply was prompt, and they fixed the problem quickly, though it could have been avoided altogether with more stringent rules. People deserve to be protected from malware and bad sites, but site owners deserve to be protected from unjust attacks on their reputation as well.

I don’t know if McAfee was the problem or not, because TFL hasn’t gotten back to me (all the responsibility is on the webmasters to reply and get everything done quickly, not the staff). But hopefully all this is resolved now.

Psycho Patrol

Edit 7/16/11: I’ve removed most of what I typed last night, leaving only my nonsensical, boredom induced ramblings. I didn’t hear anything last night, it was generally quiet. What I had written was about the night before that. When I did hear a lot as did my aunt. But I can’t be sure it was him. Part of me thinks I have more than enough “evidence” and the other part finds different explanations for what happened. And really, I would rather be wrong. I want to be wrong. No one tried to break in that night. I was expecting either that or nothing at all. I wasn’t expecting to be toyed with.

Since I am going to continue adding all this to one single post I am going to leave the rest here.

7/15/11

[removed]

Tiger is supposed to be acting as my alarm. Whenever someone comes to the door he runs away, but he’s decided to sleep on Cynthia’s bed instead. I am trying to tempt him with food, but it’s not working. The other cats aren’t making this any easier because they won’t stop making noise.

Well, my patrol has started now. For the next 5 hours I will be down here watching and listening for any sign of trouble. But as I said, I am more prepared this time, for play at least. Unless it actually sounds like someone is trying to break in I’m not going to the window. It was my constant looking out yesterday that started this probably. I was letting myself get pulled around by him.

Maybe I’ll just ramble now since there isn’t anything else I can do.

Obviously I have the comp on now (I mentioned in the removed part that I had wanted to read manga the night before, but didn’t because the computer screen was too bright) because even at almost 21 sitting doing nothing but listening to the night and house sounds for 7 hours is a bit much. I had wanted to read manga but I just realized all I have is BL… and I’m not in a BL kinda mood right now, and it’s too much of a distraction. Internet would be real nice right now. I don’t know if I mentioned this last time this happened, but I’ve been thinking again about asking Cynthia if I could have internet here if she didn’t have to pay for it, and I’ve been thinking of asking Cyndy to pay for it. I can pay for a few months of it, how long depending on the installation fee, and the price of it. The prices listed online say about $20/mo for both Comcast and Verizon, how much it would really cost I don’t know. I’d prefer Comcast, but only if they’d put the box in my room. They’ve always insisted in putting in in the living room, and not only has all this given me a strong hatred for wireless internet, I also can’t afford a wireless router. Verizon comes with wireless. That’s if both of them would even agree to it. As I’ve said before I’m a coward so I’ve put off asking for months, and now this has happened again…

It’s not Friday anymore, but this is all as Rebecca Black says fun, fun, fun.

I’m still sane and will probably remain that way. My mother has dealt with dv before, with at least one other person. When I was a little kid and we were living here with Cynthia some guy pushed my mom out of a car. I don’t think the car was moving, or at least wasn’t going fast. My stupid mom didn’t want to press charges, because she didn’t want to hurt him. At least we never felt threatened by him. This time she’s subjecting us to a strangers instabilities as well. We’re one drunks bad decision away from becoming a statistic. We don’t know how violent he really is, beyond threats, but I’ve written on here before about how obsessive and jealous he is. And he doesn’t seem close to his family. We know he has at least two children, my mom says they’re spoiled and never call unless they want something. Uh huh. I don’t know what they could ask for, he doesn’t have anything. When he moved in with my he only had a few things, and didn’t even (supposedly) have regular shoes, only sandals. Uh huh.

If I do go insane I’d like to be the Joker, TDK version. He is so much fun in that movie. And it’s much better than just rolling around on the floor in a straitjacket.

I want internet. I want to post this before I take up a third page in Open Office. I want to waste time on Subeta and KofK. And Twitter! @Bluestarintears Could you apparate here with one of your swords? I’m sure I’ve been kicked out of my dynasty on Yarold’s for not clicking. And I need to move some fanlistings before the domain they’re on expires and I get troubled.

4 more hours. 1 hour of battery remaining.

mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Internet why have you forsaken me?

Third page now.

@Bluestarintears Have you splinched yourself somewhere?

Anime characters who should be here right now… I love Schneizel but he probably wouldn’t be any help, at least Lelouch has Geass. Jeremiah woud be good, in his R2 cyborg form. Solomon Goldsmith and/or Nathan… Luck Gandor, he’s immortal too. Kadota would be okay, Shizuo would be awesome, as long as Wdisney attacks first or makes him angry, Izaya… it depends. Asami… yes Asami! He could defend us, though I don’t see why he would. If I was Aki though it would be all over for Wdisney! I wouldn’t want to be a guy though, or Aki. The only good thing about him is Asami.

3 ½ more hours. I might have to turn the light on so I can read.

Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do

Got the Baccano OP stuck in my head. Just finished that series. Needs moar Luck. Like rara needs moar Kadota. But Durarara needs moar Kadota than Baccano needs moar Luck.

Durarara’s best cover songs:

1. Kadota – OMG324?#$%#$%#$ I so want to know what he’s saying in his special voice
2. Celty – don’t know how she’s singing though. I keep imagining Celty with everyone and the head back at Izaya’s place singing. Izaya: oO
3. Kida – LINDA LINDA LINDA LINDA LINDA
4. Mikado – I hate him, and he’s not that great a singer but I like it for the lol quality
5. Izaya – A little too long. Kadota’s is only a little over 2 minutes long!
6. Shizuchan – I prefer him singing the Kuroshitsuji songs.

Some haven’t been included. I love FukuJun and it’s fun to hear him sing, but once per song is enough.

Now I’ve got Linda Linda stuck in my head. Now instead of “Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do” it’s “Linda linda linda linda linda linda linda linda linda linda”

3 hours left.

End of page 3, and end of battery. Time to get off now.

7/16/11

By the end of the night I had Over My Head (Cable Car) stuck instead. I don’t know how I’m going to last another night. It’s awful just sitting in the dark for 5-7 hours listening and waiting and waiting and waiting not knowing what’s going to happen. I end up checking the phone all the time shocked that only 10 minutes have past when it feels like 30. Of course I don’t want anything to happen, but I don’t know if it will or not so I’m on edge the entire time. At least I’m getting a lot of praying in. I have a feeling tonight is going to be even rougher because I’m so exhausted. I was dead tired the morning and fell asleep fairly quickly, but I didn’t stay asleep. And when I woke up I couldn’t go back to sleep, thanks to all the anxiety. My anxiety levels are at max, though not right now thankfully. I do need some downtime so my heart doesn’t pop out of my chest.

7/16/11 10:31pm Don’t know when I’ll get past Comcast’s blockade again. Time to start the patrol again.

Almost 7/17

A couple minutes after I posted all that Comcast took over again. I have heard something already tonight, but as I said before I could have misheard or it could have been the neighbor. I thought I heard someone outside saying my aunts name.

It’s so hot in here, worse than the other nights. It’s okay outside, but it’s like an oven in here. Even the walls are hot.

My alarm went upstairs again. I don’t know why, it’s probably hotter up there than it is down here even if there are more windows open up there. Only one is open down here, in the most hard to reach place. Cynthia just came down for some water and just showed some emotion about this. She’s angry with my mom because she’s not really saying anything about the incident or keeping us updated. She says that my mom starts this and we’re the ones who have to deal with it. Her mood changes. Sometimes she mocks me for keeping watch, saying he can’t get in because all the windows are locked (she’s quite naïve at times). And other times she takes this seriously. Cynthia told the neighbors to keep a look out for Wdisney. They hunt and have lots of guns.

Tiger came down, briefly looked at me calling him, then went to eat and straight down the cellar.

Someone just let off fireworks three times. It’s July 17 and after midnight.

It scared Tiger up from the basement, and now he’s sitting in front of the door. Yay, my kitty alarm is here!

3 more hours left. I don’t think I’m going to be able to get back online with this internet again. Before it used to take me to an activation page saying to enter your account number. The last one said both account and phone number. Now it takes me to a generic sign in page saying to enter your user id and password. I’m going to have to ask Cynthia about getting internet, this just isn’t going to work anymore.

Quiet night so far. Running out of battery for the second time. Just finished watching the Kadota episode of Durarara. Wish I could continue, it put me in a really good mood. Kadota <3 Aw, man the next one is Shizuo! Not only is it fun, there’s young!Kadota without a hat on! But there’s no point in charging the battery again now, only about 2 hours left.

7/18

I just noticed, you briefly see Kadota before then, right before Shizuo sees Izaya for the first time. How did I miss it?!

I completely forgot November 11 for anime characters that should be here!

Yesterday I said that even the walls are hot. Make that doorknobs too. The fridge was making some very angry noises earlier. Poor big fluffy Tiger has just been laying around. And if Allie sheds any more she’s not going to have any fur left! My poor baby. And there’s supposed to be a heat wave coming… Quiet night so far again. 1 ½ hours left.

7/18 Late Afternoon/Early Evening

I guess I’m not going to be catching any more Wish Jirachi or Wish Wynaut. Thanks internet, you screwed up the last VDex event too.

Crap I just remember Egg Cave! My time with Tim expired for most of them a few days ago. They’re all going to die again! Most are safe for now.

I haven’t been feeling well all day. A combination of heat and stress I think. I want to feel better by tomorrow because Cyndy called and said we’d go see the new Harry Potter movie. Though that means less sleep for me when I’m already running on empty. I didn’t get much today thanks to the heat, stress, and upset stomach. Cynthia is doing her best to contribute to it. If she’s calling you and you don’t immediate appear before her knowing exactly what she wants she gets angry. Needless to say I haven’t asked the cantankerous old lady about internet yet. Cynthia talked to Cyndy about my mom and she also told Cyndy she’s going to Texas.

Storm is coming. Uh, I mean here… Yes, weather, we’re all pretty angry. No need to make such a fuss.

I like …. ~ too.

7/19

It seems the only ones loving this weather are the bugs. I’ve got bug bites all over me.

I went to see Harry Potter this afternoon. $7 each was the matinee price. It was pretty crowded, and with a lot of teenage boys. I was thinking “shouldn’t you be at Transformers?” They yapped and made noises the whole movie. Cell phones went off a couple times. The movie itself was okay, better than the first part at least with a lot of good special effects. I expected more from the aging effects at the end though, they weren’t as special as they were supposed to be in my op. The music was pretty good. Are there no haircuts in HP’s the world of the dead? Lily’s hair is styled nicely, but James has the same haircut he had in the 70’s. I like the previews, but the commercials before the movie have gotten even longer. I was surprised to see a Dark Knight Rises teaser before the movie considering it isn’t even done filming yet, and isn’t coming out until 2012! Most of the footage was from the previous movies. I was more shocked to see it say that it’s the last movie! Catwoman is the final villain?! And after The Joker… it seems very anti-climatic.

My mom hasn’t called me in a few days, but she has been talking to Cyndy. She called her while we were in the theatre (it wasn’t hers that went off, but she did keep checking it). Wdisney may have hit my mom as well because Cyndy said “I don’t think men who hit women fight would fight a man”, which I think is vastly oversimplifying things. Violent people will be violent regardless of whether the person they are being violent towards is male or female. What little I heard of their conversation doesn’t really interest me so I won’t talk about it here.

Yes, Norton, I know my definitions are out of date, there’s nothing I can do about it. Windows Update you STFU too.

Cynthia was in a good mood when I got back, or at least not a bad mood so I took the chance to ask her if she didn’t have to pay for it if she’d let me get internet. She seemed receptive to the idea. I thought she would resist it more because she wouldn’t want some strange guy in her basement drilling holes in her house. But there’s still Cyndy to ask (and since I’m never around her I can’t gauge her moods) and the whole thing is pretty complicated.

First it all depends on how much the internet would cost, and it’s between Comcast and Verizon of course. I have the money to pay it now, for how long depends on how much it is and how much the installation fee is. Last time I looked Verizon was advertising $20/mo for new customers with a contract. Comcast was $20/mo for the first few months. When my mom got cable she put it in my name, so I’d be a returning customer with Comcast, so there wouldn’t be any discounts and might cost more, since I’d be transferring the services the installation fee would probably be less. There’s also where it would be installed. Comcast has always insisted on putting the box in the living room no matter where I wanted it. I need the internet upstairs in my room. I can’t afford a wireless router. Verizon comes with wireless, but after all this I do not want to use wireless internet if at all possible. I’d prefer Comcast to Verizon because I’m used to it, and I consider Verizon to be the greater evil right now, and what with their buddy buddy relationship with Google now they’re a big threat. What if Google turns over my search history to them? I don’t know if there’s something to plug your computer into like Comcast. Then there’s the matter of how to pay for it. As I said I have the money for now, but I don’t have a bank account so I’d have to give the money to Cynthia. Then when I run out I’d have to tell Cyndy and she’d send $__ every month which would be given to Cynthia who’d write Comcast a check? Would they even take the check in Cynthia’s name instead of mine? I don’t think Cynthia would want it in her name. There’s no point in trying to explain all this to Cynthia. If I do get my own internet again I doubt it’ll happen before the great Pottermore rush. I wanted to try to be one of the first people to get in. I hope to get it before Netflix changes their plans… they said September 1st right? Not August 1st… right? Right?! I want to get some watching in before I had to downgrade. Now mostly I just hope that I’m able to get on to downgrade! I don’t want to make Cynthia angry now.

Inglorious Basterds came today, but I can’t watch it now because my patrol will be starting in 1-2 hours. I want to get it sent back as soon as possible though. I was really pissed off at Netflix splitting their services. I couldn’t watch any streaming leeching off the wireless, but I always thought of if – hopefully when I get my own internet (SOON!)… But I thought of a way around it, something I used to do when I wanted two disks at a time, just switch between them right before they charge for the next month. Then I’d spent some time with my streaming list, and some time with my DVD list. Both are huge, probably about 200 titles each, but some are shared between them because they insist on adding things in my DVD queue to my instant queue as well when both are available. My lists are cluttered enough without their help.

7/20

Starting watching some of the J and K dramas I have on here. But the stupid site I got them from mixed up some of the versions.

It’s supposed to feel up to 110 degrees here tomorrow. Am I still in Pittsburgh?

7/21

Finished Durarara again… probably will watch CG even though that won’t put me in a good mood.

Ugh. Cynthia got a small air conditioner for the kitchen. Whatever she paid for it is too much. I don’t know if our idiot family installed it wrong or it’s just crappy, but right now it’s just acting as a fan, a really bad fan, and blowing a lot of hot air in. I’m sick of weathermen saying “it’s hot so stay inside!” Not everyone has air conditioning you overpaid TV psychics. It’s probably cooler outside than it is in.

Finally I managed to get past Comcast’s blockade again, haven’t since the 18th. BUT NOT LONG ENOUGH TO POST THIS.

Have to give the computer a break now, it’s way to hot for it. I’ll have to finish charging it later.

I figured out why the air conditioner feels like a fan. It’s because those idiots set it on fan instead of cool!

AFC Championship Today

The AFC Championship is today, which will determine whether the Steelers or the stupid Jets will go to the Super Bowl. Obviously Pittsburgh should win. When I found out the Steelers had won the last game I dressed up my Subeta avatar up in black and gold to show my support. Even my headshot is awesome. You can hover over them for an explanation of each. Regardless of the outcome, I’m going to be changing my avatar again in after. I’ve had a great outfit put together for a while that I’ve been waiting to use. It took me at least 30 million sP (the wig alone cost 20 million) and looks great. I might even put it on Style File I like it so much.

I was going to watch the game, but I decided not to do that to myself. If I’m awake when the game is on I’ll watch some anime or Skins on Netflix. After hearing everyone raving about Skins (the original UK version) I finally decided to watch it, and it’s available on Instant. So far I’ve seen three episodes. It’s actually a pretty good show, but depressing. I don’t know why these characters always ever together, they don’t act like friends they treat each other like crap. Tony is an arrogant bastard (who is not very good looking and can’t sing as well as he thinks he can), Michelle is a bitch and a slut, and Sid is just pathetic. Cassie and Jal are my favorite characters right now, Chris and Anwar are okay too.

I started playing City of Wonder on Facebook. I had to do it for a task to earn CSC on Subeta, and it was okay so I kept playing. It’s pretty simple so I can just keep the window open while I’m on Subeta or Netflix and click over to it when I need to. I named my city Damocles in honor of aku-nii. I also changed my username on Subeta from gwnedolyne to Schneizel, just because. As soon as I can figure out how to code profiles on Subeta I’m going to make a Schneizel layout for mine.

If Atheists Ruled the World

I don’t know about the fundies, but I think that last bit would make a good sitcom. The part where the neighbor came running in gave me the idea. It would be a great twist on all those old 50-60’s TV shows. We already have the title! And: “Oh, and don’t go in the bedroom cause there’s two gay men fucking in there. – Why are there gay men, honey? – Because I wanted to watch them.” How did they find out about that?!

Kingdom of Knuffel

Kingdom of Knuffel
Kofk.de

( 1 ) ( 2 ) ( – ) eggs

Since I did a guide to the best adoptables/virtual pet sites, I have decided to get a little more in depth and review them. I’m starting with my newest account at Kingdom of Knuffel.

The site is quite nice looking. The graphics and art are very well done. KOfK is also smaller, and has fewer members, so if you are intimidated by the big sites like Neopets, or even Subeta, this would be a better option for you. Unfortunately, there ends the good qualities. This site requires an extremely high level of interaction and offers little in return. The sites currency is called food, food points, or fcs. You use it to by Knuffel, the KOfK’s virutal pets/creatures, clothes and items for your avatar, and material for quests. You earn food through posting in the forum, voting in forum polls, selling items (done through the forum, as there are no user stores) and original art, leveling your Knuffel or having them dig, submitting and getting comments art in the gallery, and rating and commenting on art in the gallery. There is only one game. Quite a few ways, huh? Not enough.

The food you earn from doing these things is miniscule. 4-10 through posts and voting on polls, and even less for voting and commenting in the gallery. You can only get food from the game once a day, and it depends on how well you score. Likewise, the amount of fps you get for leveling your Knuffel varies depending on how high the level is, but it takes 2500 food points to buy a Knuffel. You do not get a Knuffel when you join, you have to buy one from the Knuffel shops. After two and a half days I was able to buy my first Knuffel. It took 72 posts in the forum, probably half that number of polls, and voting and commenting on over 100 gallery items. This is that high level of interaction I was talking about. It’s easy for a dedicated newbie to get up to 72 posts in three days, but it’s not a realistic standard for year round, as there isn’t that much activity in the forum. The activity there is is mostly limited to the spam forum. A website the bases it’s currency around posting in the forum will always end up a spam central. Even the posts that are not in the spam board lack substance.

There is also very little to do. Despite its original copyright date being listed as 2007 the site is devoid of interesting activities. Posting in the forum, feeding/playing with Knuffel, the quests, and the sites lone game are virtually the only things available. The quests don’t seem in any way fun, and the are really only available to established members due to their expense. Ah, the expense. This is the most expensive site I’ve ever come across. Everything costs more, and you get a lot less money for your efforts. Items in the shops cost even more than the Knuffel do, with prices up to 9000. Selling Fairy Coins is the easiest way to make money, earning 6-8k per coin, and the easiest way to clothe your poor newbie avatar. Fairy Coins are earned through donating to the site. But remember, everything costs more here, even the FC. Every € 1.90/$2.50 gets you one coin. So you would have to donate $5 to get just two coins. This site is even more expensive than Neopets! Even VDex Project, which gives donation points per $2.50 gives 2 for each. Treasure Trove, the “FC Mall”, if you will, is where you spend them. It’s a good thing the items there only cost one FC each.

If you are interested in the attitude of the staff, the admin has a rather ignorant stance on ad blocking.

“People who use ad blockers (and do not contribute to the costs by donating) on KOfK are people who expect starkad and me to spend around 200 hours per month working on the site and paying hundreds of $ by ourselves, without being willing to contribute with something as small as “looking” at a ad banner. Quite selfish if you ask me. If all people had that attitude KOfK could not exist.”

Um, no, I expect not to get a virus from your site. Now, understandably, most site owners do not like their users blocking ads, but completely ignoring the #1 reason people do it (the safety of their computers), and making generalizations about them is rude, and yes, ignorant. If it keeps a site I like online I can tolerate ads. What I will not tolerate is having my computer destroyed by viruses, and unfortunately a large majority of them come from ads. Oh, yes, you can “report” an ad if it has a virus in it, but by then it is too late. Even the best anti-virus program can’t stop everything. I’ve lost many irreplaceable files and had computers rendered useless due to viruses, and I do not have the money to buy a new computer every few months, or pay hundreds in repair costs. Yes, I get it. You pay a lot to keep the site you choose to run online. I paid a lot for my computer, and I choose to keep it as virus free as possible. I don’t think that’s selfish.

The site has been online since 2007, and there appears to be no evolution. It is still small, there are still very few members, and there is still nothing to do. In 2010 there should be more real interaction, especially from a site that requires so much attention from its users. If Kingdom of Knuffel ever wants to get out of this rut the owners need to start thinking outside the box.

Kingdom of Knuffel does have potential, and it’s sad seeing it squandered. Those oh so costly items are well made, like all the art on the site, and the Knuffels are attractive. A good looking site like this should have new members coming in droves. The problem site needs more content, new features, and a better money system. A good new feature would be to allow users to see who clicked their Knuffel allowing them to return clicks, and a new way to earn fp could be getting food points per unique Knuffel interacted with. Both would give incentive to click more Knuffel, and encourage more user interaction. Adding more ways to earn fp, as well as adjusting the fp rate would make the site altogether easier, particularly for new members. Without new members and a motivated staff a site cannot grow and cannot change, and the sites that don’t grow and change are doomed to be left on the wayside while better, more innovate sites pass them by. It appears the site will remain stagnant in the months to come, as the webmasters appear content with letting things remain as they are.

Final verdict: Don’t bother. Kingdom of Knuffel is a waste of time as it is now. Even if you do get ahead, or have plenty of money to donate, in a few weeks you’ll have nothing to do. The shiny newness will wear off, and you’ll move on to something better.

Belief-O-Matic Religion Quiz

I found this quiz through the Duggar/Quiverfull/fundie snarking forum Free Jinger. It’s Beliefnet’s Belief-O-Matic. You answer a series of 20 questions and it tells you what religion your beliefs are most similar too. I didn’t understand all the questions, some were a little too… theological for me, but I did end up scoring in my own religion first, 100%. I’m a Presbyterian, so a liberal Protestant. I scored Seventh Day Adventist last at 24%, whatever that is, but my $cientology score wasn’t low enough for my taste, at 22 with 38%. So, what religion are you, or supposed to be?

1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%)
2. Liberal Quakers (98%)
3. Unitarian Universalism (95%)
4. Secular Humanism (79%)
5. Neo-Pagan (77%)

6. Reform Judaism (75%)
7. Baha’i Faith (73%)
8. New Age (73%)
9. Mahayana Buddhism (64%)
10. Theravada Buddhism (63%)
11. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (58%)
12. Orthodox Quaker (55%)
13. Taoism (53%)
14. New Thought (52%)
15. Sikhism (51%)
16. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (51%)
17. Nontheist (50%)
18. Jehovah’s Witness (48%)
19. Jainism (47%)

Best Adoptables Sites

Programs to use: Snap Links Plus, available as an add-on for Firefox and Google Chrome.

12/15/10 – Soon to be updated with another site, Zantarni, an avatar/role play site with pets. Check it out, and I’ll be updating this post with my own thoughts in a few days!

If you like adoptable/virtual pet sites this is the article for you! Adoptables sites are websites where you can create a creature and raise it through clicks from other people. You often get points for interacting with other peoples pets that you can spent on items or other virtual creatures. You’ve probably come across some of these sites before. There are so many virtual pet sites out there it can be hard to decide which one to join. If you’ve been thinking about joining an adoptables site, but don’t know which one is the best way to spend your time, here is my list of the best and worst adoptables sites. Feel free to sound off in the comments with your own opinions!

The Best

VDex Project – One of the many Pokemon adoptables sites out there, and in my opinion, the best. VDex Project is a very interactive adoptables site, which makes it one of the most fun. Unlike other Pokemon sites you have to actually “venture out” to catch Pokemon and buy Poke Balls to catch them with. You can travel, plant berries, gamble for Pokemon and items, and more. This sites currency is earned through displaying your party. Your party has an image code that you can link in forums and on websites, and every unique view earns money. When you join you are paired with a partner, a Poke human. Your partner will say things about themselves and their surroundings, and send you items if they like you. Once a partners affection is maxed out you can get an item from an NPC which is traded with another NPC for a legendary summoning item. Each partner gives a different legendary. Affection is maxed in different ways, from feeding certain Pokemon, to time spent on site. When you join you must also choose a starter Pokemon. This determines which region you start out in – Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh. Some Pokemon are harder to catch than others, and some can only be found at certain times on certain days. Catching some Pokemon can take dedication. It’s taken me a couple days to catch some. But if you keep at it you can fill up your Pokedex quite easily. In my first 20 days I caught over 200, and now at 1 month, 17 days, have 331. This site has many things to do, and has a high level of interaction. If you’re looking for an adoptables site with a little more gameplay, this is the one for you. There is so much to do here you’ll never get bored.

Magistream – I’ve known about this site for a year now, but only joined last month. Magistream has some of the best pixel creatures around. Most are gorgeous, and even the ones that can’t be called beautiful are just as well made. Creatures are raised through clicks, some taking longer than others. My first creatures hatched all within a few days of getting them. But don’t expect click backs, the majority of users do not return clicks. You can get creatures from the stream on the main page, the Koi pond, breeding, quests, shops, donation, and trading with other members. Some creatures can only be obtained through breeding, questing, and donating. Donation creatures are purchased with crystal shards, and you get one shard per $1 you donate. Creatures can cost $2-5 and are only available for a limited time. After a creature has retired trading is the only way to get one. Shop creatures can be bought with gold, the sites currency. Gold is very easy to earn, and I managed to get up to 20,000 gold within my first week. You earn gold by clicking other peoples creatures, and by posting in the forum. The easiest way to earn gold is through gold mining, that is by clicking large amounts of other peoples creatures. Some members don’t like people gold mining in their keep. The best way to goldmine is through an image free goldmine site like this one. It displays just the links of creatures, not the images, so with a browser add-on like Snap Links it is easy to click thousands of creatures over a short amount of time. Also, the site only lists those who have volunteered their keeps.

GPX Plus – Another Pokemon site. On Global PokedeX Plus you get Pokemon eggs from the lab, the main page of the site, or from the shelter. In the lab you can’t see what Pokemon you are adopting, only the eggs description. You can find out what an egg is by googling the description, or from this LiveJournal. The LJ isn’t up to date, but it’s still a good for the basics. Pokemon are raised through clicks and feeds, and occasionally an evolution item. Items and upgrades can be bought in the shop. Money is earned through interacting with others parties. Items can also be found randomly around the site, and through sending a Pokemon underground. Legendaries can be bought via summoning items, and can occasionally be found in the lab through another members failed summon. Fossils can also be bought, and novelties can occasionally be found in the shelter, or in the safari zone. The site can be boring after a while as there is less to do the longer you are a member. Also, it is difficult to participate in the site if you cannot mass click. Mass clicking is interacting with large amounts of other parties. The current record for the most amount of interactions in one day is over 120,000. As money is earned through interactions, and only in small amounts, without mass clicking it is difficult to get ahead on the site.

Dragon Cave – A smaller, less interactive adoptables site, and a good site to start out on if you’re new to virtual pets. As the title suggest this site deals with dragons. You can pick eggs up from in the cave, or from the abandoned pile. Some eggs are more common, and others, like silver, are rare. Hatching the eggs is done through views, and it can take quite a lot of views to do it. Thanks to sites like Dragonnery, the processes is relatively easy. I’ve never had a dragon die on me before, and as long as you use a hatchery like this, your won’t either. Once hatched dragons can be named, but due to the amount of users, finding a name that isn’t taken can be difficult. The best way to work around this is to give the dragon a last name. I use li or vi Britannia from Code Geass (come up with your own please). New dragons are released about once a month. It is often chaos for the first few days, and it can be hard to get them for a couple weeks. Fighting up to 1000 people for 4 eggs can be a drag. This is particularly troublesome during the holidays. Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines eggs are released every year, and the previous years eggs are usually breedable. This is the sites busiest time. The best way to get holiday eggs is by using the browser add-on Snap Links, or a similar program. Keep refreshing and selecting the eggs on the main page, and eventually you will get one or two. The only other way to get eggs is by breeding. Some dragons can only be obtained through breeding (or in the Vampire dragons case, biting). There is no trading system on the site, and users trade using the abandoned page, which can be hit or miss as there is a very good chance someone else will grab the egg before you.

The Alright

Squiby – Squiby is a more generic adoptables site. They don’t have any adoptables themselves, the sprites are created by the members. The result is a wide range of adoptables in both style and quality. Those artistically inclined can create creatures for other people to adopt, and can set levels, passwords, and only allow a certain number to be adopted (a limited pet). Levels and the like are bought with points, earned through interacting with others creatures. Squiby adoptables are leveled through clicks. Because the users themselves create the adoptables and set the rules for their creatures the quality varies, and it can be very difficult to obtain some creatures. When you adopt a creature you can set its gender and name it, and adopts are allowed to share names. As a sort of game, some artists put passwords on their creatures, or have hidden creatures, where you have to figure out the answer, or find the link. I don’t find this fun at all so I don’t usually bother trying. Also, after a while you may end up amassing a large quantity of adoptables, I have almost 300, and it’s hard to keep track of them all. In the past the site has had many errors and a lot of downtime. I haven’t seen any recently, but it is still something to be aware of.

Valenth – These interesting creatures are leveled through feeds, and have different outcomes depending on what is fed to the creature. You can choose what is fed to adoptable when linking it (see an example on the image link above) if you want it to turn out a certain way. Valenth adoptables can be named, and it doesn’t seem like they have to be unique. This site is better for those who like RPG, as role playing is an essential part of the site. Like Squiby it has also had a lot of errors in the past, and is the main reason I stopped using it. The constant errors can be a hassle, and it seems like it is still a problem.

The Worst

Egg Cave – Do you like spam and being harassed? Then this is the site for you! If you don’t, then it’s best to stay away. The creatures are okay, some better than others, but the overall quality of the site is poor. I don’t know if things have changed in the past half year, but when I was a member it was nothing but spam and click begging. Most sites have strict rules about where you can and cannot ask for clicks, and rules about OT discussions. Egg Cave did (does?) not, and at the time didn’t seem particularly interested in any. Members would use the comments section of news posts to have long off topic discussions (I remember one was about Pokemon DP), and beg for clicks/feeds. They would also use the comment section of members profiles to click beg, and egg beg. Users would be repeatedly harassed to adopt their eggs out to someone. Even if you by some miracle escape the torment from other members, that won’t stop the owner from harassing you. Like many adoptions sites they have a cash shop, where for real money you can purchase limited creatures. Unlike most sites, however, the webmaster posts again and again in the news section to try and “encourage” people to buy. “20 more days to by Blooblah!!” “19 days and 50 minutes!” “Just 17 more days!” This is a spammers heaven. Creatures can be named but most names are already taken as they have to be unique. Eggs rely on clicks, views, and feeds depending on what type it is. The amount required for an egg to hatch varies, and can get quite high. If an egg or hatchling doesn’t get the amount of interactions it needs it will die. It is easy to keep an Egg Cave creature alive buy paying (with the sites currency) to have it fed. This keeps it alive, but doesn’t give it any actual feeds. It can take a while for an egg to die on its own, but can die very easily if taken off the paid feeding. Once the time paid for expires you must immediately sign your creatures up again, as they will all die in a week or less if you don’t. So, unless the rules have changed since then, as a member of this site you will be harassed constantly by others to click or feed their creatures, be constantly barraged with “requests” for your eggs, and if you don’t pay 100% attention to the site all the time, your creatures will all die. Have fun.

Virtuadopt – Yet another Pokemon site. I was member of this one before GPX and VDex. Unlike the other two, you can never tell what Pokemon egg you got, by looks or description. They all have the same generic Pokemon egg pattern. This means you can never actively search for the Pokemon you want, it’s all just luck. Eggs can take quite a long time to hatch, which makes the whole process even more frustrating. It’s very annoying to put in a lot of effort to hatch an unknown Poke only to end up with one you hate. The Pokemon are often ugly or strange looking, as the owner relies on one artists “interpretation” of the Pokemon, and cares little of what the users think. The promo and seasonal Pokemon are often quite cute, but difficult to obtain. You have a better chance of winning the more you click, but clicking on Virtuadopt is a difficult process. You have to click “View Virtuadopts” on someones profile or post in the forum, choose a box (some say don’t click), select all the Pokemon/eggs you want to click with a program like Snap Links, click the interaction link on each page, then scroll down to see if you’ve won. This takes a lot longer than most other adoptables sites. The website itself is also consistently slow for me. There is no need to think of a unique name when adopting an egg here, duplicates are allowed and it can be changed later. Most people name the eggs with a random string of letters. If you want to join a Pokemon adoptables site, I think VDex Project or GPX Plus would be more worth your time.

Avadopts – This is was is an Avatar: The Last Airbender adoptables site. The graphics for the eggs aren’t the best looking, but the majority of the sprites themselves are well made. Unfortunately the site has been having a lot of errors and other problems, including a troll hacking. Stay far away from this site and any other Avatar adoptables site. It is very unstable and you never know whether your adoptables will be there the next time you get on. This had potential to be a good site, if not in the hands of a weak-willed webmaster. On the 20th of September the owner had someone trolling the forum pretending to be Viacom employee. Despite the reassurance of members, and the owners own admittance that it was a troll, it has scared the owner (more his mother) so he decided shut it down, and might possibly create a new, “secret” one. The site does seem to still be there, however I will warn you now: if you come across this Avatar adoptables site stay away. Don’t waste your time on a site that may suddenly disappear one day because the webmaster is scared by a troll. The owner is obviously not mature enough to run a website, and will run at the first time of trouble (even if it’s only imaginary) if that’s what mommy says.

Honorable Mentions

Neopets – This is one of the classic virtual pet sites. I’ve been a member there since I was 14, and though I haven’t always been active, I am still a member to this day. I didn’t include it in my list because this is more of a corporation now. It’s not exactly an adoptables site, it’s a lot more than that, and adopting pets is only one aspect of it. In case you’re one of the few people who don’t know anything about Neopets here it is. On Neopets you create a Neopet. There are many available, some that you can only get certain times a year, and others that cost a great deal of NP, the sites currency. You earn NP from playing games, doing dailies, contests, and selling items. You can paint your pet, dress your Neopet up, train them for the Battledome, and do many other things. You have to be good at something to get ahead in Neopets. Whether you’re good at playing games, have very good reflexes, or just have good luck (and who has that?). Otherwise you’ll fall behind. Just like real life Neopets has a small group of wealthy Neopians, some middle class members, and a lot of dirt poor ones. So it’s good to find something to do on Neopets and stick with it. Without having a goal or hobby it is very easy to get bored or disillusioned with the site. Some people try to get all the avatars, training for the Battledome, get a Draik or a certain PB, customizing, etc. I am a customizer, meaning I like to dress up my pets with clothes, backgrounds, and accessories. With Neopets, just find something on the site that interests you and go with it.

Subeta – Like Neopets, Subeta has adoptable pets but that’s not the main focus. You earn sP (Subeta points) through games and other features. I really like Subeta and it gets addicting very quickly. Along with being able to change the look of your pets, you can also customize your human avatar as well. You see my generic starter avatar to the left, and a more developed one in the sidebar at the top of the page. Things cost a lot more on Subeta, and if you don’t know what you’re doing money can be harder to make. There are only 30 games, the majority of which you can only play every few hours. You don’t get much sP from them, and most are contests and other things you have to pay for. The only way to earn money on the site is through quests and restocking. I earned around 18 million sP in my first week through selling clothes, accessories, and a few potions/elixirs. However, the is one problem with this. Due to the small amount of users it is a battle to sell things. Everyone wants to have the lowest prices so their items sell. Because of this items quickly become no longer profitable. Items end up being sold for less than or equal to what they are priced in the main shops. Some members intentionally drive down the prices just to get a sale, dropping thousands price and destroying the market for both them and everyone else. In a matter of hours, one item dropped from 12000 sP down to 1501 due to the negligence of ignorant sellers. The problem is made worse by the use of autopricing. Autopricing is a feature available to Gold Account members, and it automatically sets the your shop prices to the lowest. Like everything else on the site, food and toys are very expensive. Once you use an item to play with your pet it disappears, and you can’t use it again. Food also does very little for a pets hunger, and doesn’t last very long. A pet can go from bloated to famished in less than a day. Rather than buying food and toys it’s a better to just put them in Lakeview Resort. This will keep your pet bloated and very happy for 100 sP a day per pet. Members tout the site as an older, more mature version of Neopets. The reason for this being it is not as censored, and some members say “it’s more violent”. Just because something is more adult doesn’t mean it’s not immature. While it is older, and lacks chat speak, the maturity level is about the same, especially if you are basing that opinion on the level of violence. Subeta has a long way to go, if this site wants to become more than a Neopets copycat they need to start thinking outside of the box.

Other Sites

I am not terribly acquainted with these sites, so I can’t review them, or deem them “the best” or “the worst” adoptables. However, the fact that I do not participate in them means that I generally do not like them, or have no interest in them. This is not a comprehensive list, there are many adoptables sites out there. These are just the ones I see most often, and am aware of.

UniCreatures – The quality of adoptables on this site varies. Some can be quite pretty and well made, others are not. There are several things you can do on the site, all detailed in their walk through guide. Like all other adoptable sites the main feature is the creatures. When you join you choose a starter pet and are given a guest account, and you can complete your registration later. When interacting with a creature you can feed them, play with them, or care for them. If you are a member interacting with a creature raises your chances of finding a mystery box, which can contain coins or an egg. The higher level your account is the more options are available to you, and the more you do on the site the more items and coins you get.

Dragonadopters – Dragonadopters is a dragon themed role playing site. Unlike other adoptables sites the sprites are animated. I don’t like the Dragonadopters creatures, I think they’re ugly. I’m also not a fan of RPing.

DNAdopts – A smaller adoptable site. The pets seem okay in quality, but not as HQ as others. You can adopt free pets, pets that cost virtual money (earned through interacting), and get some through random events. Some pets can breed, others cannot. You can find the sites guide in the forum under the Help and Bugs board.

Mythical Moments – A relatively new and bare bones site. There is not much here and there doesn’t appear to be much to do, and the site doesn’t seem to have a guide either, or even an about page to give you any kind of information on the site. Creatures can also die, which seems stupid considering how unknown the site is.

Flowergame – This is a good site for you if you like… gardening? You adopt seeds and the seeds grow into a plant. Um… maybe you should just get a potted plant? It would probably be less work.

Arvyre – Another newer adoptables site, and like Mythical Moments there is not much to it. All pets cost site currency to adopt, and new users are given 1000 silver to start out with. Unlike most other adoptables sites, money is only earned when your pet levels up, not by clicking other pets.

MyAdopts – MyAdopts isn’t actually an adoptables site itself, it’s a site that allows others to create other adoptable sites. If you see a site on this address, it’s probably best to stay away from it. The quality of these are usually very low, and there’s little to do.

MyWarriorCats – Some of these pets, like the Common Raccoon, Gray Wolf, and African Leopard, are very cute. Many are not. I also personally do not like the site. The virtual pets can get injured or killed, and when sent to the pound are “euthanized” after a certain amount of time. Isn’t there enough of that in real life, why do we need it online too? Many other sites delete pets that are abandoned or whose owners are inactive, but few are insensitive enough to say they “euthanize” them.

PokeFarm – Okay, I know all Pokemon adoptions sites will have some similarities, but come on. Earlier this year PokeFarm was a rip-off site of GPX Plus. And it looks like they still are, and not a very good one at that. If you want to join a Pokemon site, and you’re thinking about this one, do yourself a favor and join GPX Plus or VDex Project.

Pokeplushies – A better looking site than the above. While the site is called Pokeplushies they don’t deal exclusively in Pokemon adopts, and most Pokemon they do have are also artist interpretations, like Virtuadopt. The quality of the sprites and creatures seems good.

Mystic Grove – Another shoddy looking adoptables site with graphics right out of the 90’s. Even with NoScript turned off the site wouldn’t display correctly for me due to a Facebook application script on the site, so it was impossible for me to register to give many details on it. All I can say is I’ve seen the adoptables from this site, and they are not attractive in any way. If you are looking for an adoptables site with nice looking graphics, this is not it.

Warning: Dangerously Long Post Ahead

Okay, okay, I said I’d do this so here it is. Lately I’ve mostly been on VDex Project, Magistream, and watching anime. I also, over the course of 6 hours, got caught up with the Bleach manga, and ugh. I’ll talk about that later. I’m with Bel right now trying to get the heart scale I need for the Recommendation Letter quest on VDex. I have him up to about 188/255 affection, and have been with him around 14 and he has yet to send me anything let alone a heart scale. I’m also stalking the Gacha corner for the remaining starters I need, as well as trying to get Thief TM from it, which also gives out heart scales. So far nothing. I am one Poke away from completing the starter set I need for the quest then all I’ll need is the heart scale. Then I plan on switching to Yun and maxing him out immediately for Mewtwo, then moving on Allen for Shaymin. It’ll take longer to max him out, but after I do I’ll finally be able to switch to Lyrit, which is the partner I want. Lyrit’s so hot. And a crazy stalker. Edward you have nothing on this bishie! I joined Magistream a few weeks ago, and I really like it. I’m going to be doing an article on all the best adoptables sites soon, so I’ll cover that then. But for now you can see my Magistream creatures to the right in the sidebar. If you want you can give them a click to help them grow.

And yes, anime. Mitsudomoe is ending very soon! Luckily there will be a second season. I love Mitsudomoe! I didn’t expect to because the humor is pretty juvenile, and I don’t really like that sort of thing, but this show is freaking hilarious. Stupid, but hilarious. HOTD, also not my thing (say it Megan: highschoolhighschoolhigh school) I’m not a big fanservice fan (unless it’s fanservice for the girls~), but it’s too much fun. That’s the reason I don’t usually like zombie stories, along with other apocalyptic tales. They’re so depressing. And not in a good way. HOTD (where I am anyway – 7/12) focuses more on the zombie ass kicking aspects of it. You’re too hyped up on adrenaline to care about things like mass hysteria and the world you once knew collapsing around you. You’re watching people beat the crap out of zombies! This makes it seem like a zombie apocalypse would be fun! Kuroshitsuji II ended up being surprisingly awesome. But there I was at episode 10, loving where the series was going, and then my little anime world was shattered. I found out it is only 12 episodes. Just when I was thinking “oh, A-1 Pictures, I’m so sorry for doubting you” it turned into “A-1 Pictures you freaking creeps how can you treat me like this?!!!” MAL hasn’t listed the episode count for the time it’s been playing, so I didn’t know what to expect. I expected more than 12 episodes though! I feel cheated. They made us wait a while as they kept pushing back the date, then screwed with us about the new demon butler and master, and they finally managed to do a good story (the last Kuroshitsuji anime, which also deviated from the manga, was pure crap) and they only do 12 episodes. Though episode 11 and ultimately the final one could be bad, but TastyMelon hasn’t released 11 yet. Shiki also turned out to be surprisingly awesome. I didn’t love the first episode (I rarely do) and the animation put me off a little, but it’s turning out so good. Sick of sparkly, “romantic” vampires and vampire knights? This is the anime for you. This is how you do vampires. And damn that Murasako Masao is one strange looking troll. When I watch the next episode I will torment myself again and watch it at night – just for the kicks. I didn’t learn my lesson with Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, or even the last time I watched Shiki. I just started watching it sometime after midnight and the thought occurred to me a couple hours later “maybe I shouldn’t be watching this at night?” and then “I really shouldn’t be watching this at night!” Did I stop? Of course not! As for the other airing shows that I am watching, it’s mostly just to torment myself. Seitokai Yakuindomo, I hate, Amagami SS, I hate slightly less, Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin just gets an “eh” from me, The Redundant Title of Redundancy and Nurarihyon no Mago… I’m dealing with it. And as for Ookami-san, I still haven’t gotten past the first episode. Unfortunately for me all the anime that I’m enjoying is either ending or possibly going on hiatus (we don’t know yet how the Shiki hiatus on one channel will affect our watching). And with the new season seeming pretty blah this is not good news for me.

I do at least have one currently airing television show here to look forward to and that is Destination Truth, with the hot geek Josh Gates. The new season started yesterday. I don’t have cable right now, but Syfy and Hulu both have the previous episodes available on their websites for a short time. The first Destination Truth episode of the season featured Josh and his team went to Pompeii to search for ghosts, and to Africa to search for a beast called the Nandi Bear. Destination Truth is an awesome cryptozoology/paranormal show that airs on Syfy channel. They go to places and investigate things that no one else does (they’ve even been to Chernobyl), and they found some pretty compelling Yeti proof that’s still being investigated by labs today. Plus, Josh is very cute and charismatic. So if you’re into monster hunting and cute geeks definitely check it out.

I realize I never said what happened after I went to the doctor the Monday after my blood test. He said everything tested normal except for the thyroid, but it way only low by a very small amount. He said he could put me on a low dosage pill for it, but I can’t swallow pills so that was out of the question. There was an injection for it (like I want to be around needles again any time soon), but it was in a large dosage. He also harassed me about going to the psychiatrist again, so after I get my MRI done I’ll go once and after that tell everyone to fuck off. I hate talking about my feelings and my person life. Then, why do you blog, you say. This blog does not detail my whole life, or even a small portion of my feelings. I do not talk about those things with anyone. I don’t like even being asked “how are you?” I only ever say “fine” when I’m asked that because a) no one really cares, it’s just a pleasantry. You’re supposed to say “I’m great” or “I’m fine” and then ask “how are you”, also not because you care, but because you have to. And b) it’s not anyone’s business. The details of my life and feelings aren’t anyone’s concern but my own. There is something I hate more than people being nosy, and that’s people telling me that letting them will make me feel better. Which is of course what I get when the psychiatrist is brought up. The doctor, my idiot mother, and Cynthia all say “it’ll make you feel better” or “it’ll help you.” Oh, yes, thank you for telling me what I really feel. I guess you all know my personality better than I do. What was I thinking? How could I possibly know what I’m really like, what would I do without your helpful input? BS. Ugh, just thinking about going to a nosy psychiatrist send my blood pressure through the roof. I need chocolate.

Absent minded webmistress – instead of align=”left” I put my icon as target=”_blank”. Stupid. And WordPress is putting my quotation marks wrong there, not me.

Like My Icon?

Oh, Aizen, what are you doing?

In less than 12 hours I’m going to get blood work. Not looking forward to it exactly, but I’m glad it’s finally getting done. After this I’ll have to go to the doctor and get the papers to have an MRI and CT Scan. My mom called on Sunday and asked if I wanted to go to Eat n Park on Monday using the rest of the gift card she had. I could tell she was drunk (as always), and didn’t think she’d actually end up doing it, but I agreed. Monday came and of course she called and said she couldn’t go. The landlord said he might come fix the water and she had to be there for it. Ridiculous. If she doesn’t want to follow through with something, why ask? Not only could the landlord let himself in, but that bum she’s living with doesn’t work. Let him make himself useful. There was no reason for her to stay. So Cynthia took me out today to McDonalds. I thought she would. She usually does after my mom changes her mind. I was hoping to get up to CVS and see if they had Neocash cards, but that’ll have to wait until Cynthia takes me again.

My mom said she’s been working a lot recently, and once she starts getting money I can have my disability for myself. BS! It runs out in November, and she’s only working part time! If, by some miracle, I do get it before then I’d like to get a camera. I toyed with the idea of getting one with my b-day money, but I only got $125 (counting the $25 my mom took). I looked on Ebay and found some cheap ones, but it’s too risky, and not the buying on Ebay part. I did have a really cheap digital camera before and it was crap. It barely worked and the pictures it took were horrible quality. Then earlier this year I found that the batteries had basically disintegrated inside it and I had to throw it away. So I can’t risk spending up to $125 of the only money I have only something that could turn out to be worthless. I could get a decent one for $200 though, so I’m hoping my mom will come through this once so I can get one. I’ve wanted one for years, I’m really interested in photography as a hobby.

I thought See the Monkey Dance was the best Alfred Hitchcock Hour episode I’d ever seen… then I saw An Unlocked Window. Scared the crap out of me.

I haven’t seen any anime recently. My headphones broke again, there’s only sound coming out of one ear unless you hold the cord the right way, so I can’t watch anything until I get new ones. This did give me a chance to catch up with the scanlations of Skip Beat! and I found out that two more chapters of Gunslinger Girl were scanlated. I hadn’t read anything “new” from it in about a year, since no one’s really scanlating it. Now if someone could just get out a couple chapters of Junjou Romantica… at least Okane ga Nai is pretty regular right now. Since I’m on a forced break from anime right now I’m going to take this opportunity to get through some more manga. I have a ton of BL on here, and there’s some other manga I want to get ahead in.

Since I’m animeless I’ve had to find other things to amuse myself with. One of those things is Neopets, and the other is VDex Project. I dressed up and entered two of my pets in the Style Showdown. The first one didn’t get in, like I knew it wouldn’t, and I’m sure the second one won’t either, but I love customizing on Neopets so this was a lot of fun for me. You can see my two entries after the jump. I love VDex Project. It’s the best adoptables site out there in my opinion. Here’s me and my party looking awesome.

I’ve caught 262 Pokemon, with 224 Pokedex entries. I am this close to getting the Marsh badge. VDex is so much more fun and involving than GPXPlus, which I’ve grown bored with. VDex requires a higher level of dedication and interaction, because it’s freaking hard to catch these Pokemon, and you have to actually go get them, not just sit around the lab and shelter waiting. There needs to be more adoptables sites like this one.

In the fanlistings department I have several upcoming, and two recently finished. Code Geass: Charles and Lelouch relationship fanlisting and the fl for British comedy My Family are online. A word of caution for anyone trying to view, the last one won’t display right in all resolutions, I am still working on that little bugger. On TFL I got a most awesome approval, English actress Natalie Dormer, best known for playing Anne Boleyn on Showtime’s The Tudors (which she was awesome in). The fanlisting has been designed and I just have to code it and get it online. At TAFL my upcomings are series Ghost Hound and Mitsudomoe the angela song and Seitokai Yakuindomo ED Aoi Haru (the best thing about that stupid series), and the Mitsudomoe character Marui Hitoha.

Here are my Style Showdown entries! Aisli is no longer dressed this way though, she’s back in her Woodland Archer outfit.

Masked in Mystery: I call this one “The Phantom of the Cybunnys after burying Raobbit in the Haunted Woods”

Sugar and Spice: This is “I was made to hit in America” Carmetia. A small pic of her as she was before the contest. I can’t wait until it’s over so I can put her back the way she was, she looked so cool.

My other pets are Aediantia and GerryBJr looking equally great.
