Oh, Aizen, what are you doing?

In less than 12 hours I’m going to get blood work. Not looking forward to it exactly, but I’m glad it’s finally getting done. After this I’ll have to go to the doctor and get the papers to have an MRI and CT Scan. My mom called on Sunday and asked if I wanted to go to Eat n Park on Monday using the rest of the gift card she had. I could tell she was drunk (as always), and didn’t think she’d actually end up doing it, but I agreed. Monday came and of course she called and said she couldn’t go. The landlord said he might come fix the water and she had to be there for it. Ridiculous. If she doesn’t want to follow through with something, why ask? Not only could the landlord let himself in, but that bum she’s living with doesn’t work. Let him make himself useful. There was no reason for her to stay. So Cynthia took me out today to McDonalds. I thought she would. She usually does after my mom changes her mind. I was hoping to get up to CVS and see if they had Neocash cards, but that’ll have to wait until Cynthia takes me again.

My mom said she’s been working a lot recently, and once she starts getting money I can have my disability for myself. BS! It runs out in November, and she’s only working part time! If, by some miracle, I do get it before then I’d like to get a camera. I toyed with the idea of getting one with my b-day money, but I only got $125 (counting the $25 my mom took). I looked on Ebay and found some cheap ones, but it’s too risky, and not the buying on Ebay part. I did have a really cheap digital camera before and it was crap. It barely worked and the pictures it took were horrible quality. Then earlier this year I found that the batteries had basically disintegrated inside it and I had to throw it away. So I can’t risk spending up to $125 of the only money I have only something that could turn out to be worthless. I could get a decent one for $200 though, so I’m hoping my mom will come through this once so I can get one. I’ve wanted one for years, I’m really interested in photography as a hobby.

I thought See the Monkey Dance was the best Alfred Hitchcock Hour episode I’d ever seen… then I saw An Unlocked Window. Scared the crap out of me.

I haven’t seen any anime recently. My headphones broke again, there’s only sound coming out of one ear unless you hold the cord the right way, so I can’t watch anything until I get new ones. This did give me a chance to catch up with the scanlations of Skip Beat! and I found out that two more chapters of Gunslinger Girl were scanlated. I hadn’t read anything “new” from it in about a year, since no one’s really scanlating it. Now if someone could just get out a couple chapters of Junjou Romantica… at least Okane ga Nai is pretty regular right now. Since I’m on a forced break from anime right now I’m going to take this opportunity to get through some more manga. I have a ton of BL on here, and there’s some other manga I want to get ahead in.

Since I’m animeless I’ve had to find other things to amuse myself with. One of those things is Neopets, and the other is VDex Project. I dressed up and entered two of my pets in the Style Showdown. The first one didn’t get in, like I knew it wouldn’t, and I’m sure the second one won’t either, but I love customizing on Neopets so this was a lot of fun for me. You can see my two entries after the jump. I love VDex Project. It’s the best adoptables site out there in my opinion. Here’s me and my party looking awesome.

I’ve caught 262 Pokemon, with 224 Pokedex entries. I am this close to getting the Marsh badge. VDex is so much more fun and involving than GPXPlus, which I’ve grown bored with. VDex requires a higher level of dedication and interaction, because it’s freaking hard to catch these Pokemon, and you have to actually go get them, not just sit around the lab and shelter waiting. There needs to be more adoptables sites like this one.

In the fanlistings department I have several upcoming, and two recently finished. Code Geass: Charles and Lelouch relationship fanlisting and the fl for British comedy My Family are online. A word of caution for anyone trying to view, the last one won’t display right in all resolutions, I am still working on that little bugger. On TFL I got a most awesome approval, English actress Natalie Dormer, best known for playing Anne Boleyn on Showtime’s The Tudors (which she was awesome in). The fanlisting has been designed and I just have to code it and get it online. At TAFL my upcomings are series Ghost Hound and Mitsudomoe the angela song and Seitokai Yakuindomo ED Aoi Haru (the best thing about that stupid series), and the Mitsudomoe character Marui Hitoha.

I finally made myself watch the late night block on RTV. From 12-2 they play Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Night Gallery, and Alfred Hitchcock Hour. Night Gallery isn’t as good as The Twilight Zone. As for Alfred Hitchcock, they’re usually not that great shows, though some of them are pretty decent. The blame is partially on the censors back then. They had strict rules about what could play on television. One of them being the bad guy could never get away with anything. Alfred Hitchcock saved himself from having to show this, and would just say at the end of the program that the culprit had been caught. There have been some pretty nasty criminals on there, and you really want the bad guy to get what’s coming to him, but sometimes the so-called “victim” completely deserved it. Lonely Place (3-6) is one example to this. I’ve never seen the Lamb to the Slaughter episode, based on a short story by Roald Dahl, but I know the woman in that was surely apprehended at the end of the program, when she got away with it in the original (pretty hilarious by the way, the police eat the murder weapon). But last nights episode of Hitchcock Hour was the best I’ve ever seen, maybe on of the best stories of seen of anything in a while. It was funny, clever, well written, and well acted. It was called See the Monkey Dance and it’s available online from Hulu here, with many other episodes, including some Night Gallery ones. Body in the Barn was also pretty good, as well as the end of Final Performance. Part of the reason why I watch these is for Alfred Hitchcock himself. I think he’s adorable, like the Pillsbury Doughboy.

Cynthia went out with Naomi like she usually does on Fridays, and when she got back she took me down to McDonalds. We have to pass where my mom lives (and where I used to live up until a few weeks ago) and she and the white trash bastard were outside smoking. I was watching where I was walking, so I didn’t notice she was there until Cynthia said “don’t look.” My mother asked where we were going, and I looked at Cynthia because she didn’t respond or even turn her head, just kept on walking. Then my mom said in her whiny voice “You aren’t going to talk to me? Fine.” I told Cynthia she was angry because of that, and I was the one who’d get yelled at. Cynthia said she refused to talk to her while he was there, and she doesn’t owe her anything, and that my mom couldn’t be mad at me because I have no control over what Cynthia does. My mom won’t care about that. She throws tantrums like a 5 year-old, and the next time she calls I’m going to be the one who gets to listen to it. I wouldn’t be surprised if she threatened not to make my birthday cake (which she’s been saying she’s going to make since the 22nd). Cynthia says my mom is lucky I talk to her at all. And she should have known better. My mother knows I hate him, and Cynthia’s furious that my mom let him know where she lives, and now he knows what she looks like too. He keeps asking to meet her, and Cynthia says she has nothing to do with him, and he’s not getting in her house. I told her not to worry, if he tries to get in I’ll be ready to play whack-a-ass with the bowling pin. Yes, I own a real bowling pin.

My mother now owes me $40. The $20 she took in late spring (without asking), and she took the $20 Nita gave me for my birthday. She called yesterday to say Nita’s card came, and asked if she could borrow $20 from whatever she sent (it was $25), and that I could come down and witness it if I wanted. I’m not walking down the hill just to watch her open a card, then walk back up again in 90 degree weather. So I told her to just open it. She said she could have just taken the money, but thought she should ask first. It wouldn’t be the first time she took my money without asking. :yeahright: Once when I was 16 or 17 she did, and didn’t even bother to tell me. A few weeks later I found out when she said she’d pay me back. Then she had the audacity to get angry with me, for being angry with her. She couldn’t understand what was so bad about her taking the money without even bothering to pretend ask first. For some reason the concept of stealing eludes her. At least the bum finally got a job after over a month of being unemployed. It’s part time as a hostess at Pamela’s Diner. She better still look for a second job. I’ve only gotten $75 for my birthday (not including Cyndy’s money, which will probably be $40), including the $20 she took, and I’m not giving her anymore. She’s already taking my disability until November when it expires. I don’t see why I should have to pay for her cigarettes or booze, or any of the bills for a place she and her manwhore drove me out of. She doesn’t even have to pay for food, she gets almost $200 a month in food stamps, half of which is mine, and I got three TV dinners from it this month. Instead she’s using it to support the two of them, because he isn’t working either.

Choosing my icon reminded me – I finally got my Schneizel voice doll to speak! I thought it needed batteries, so I opened the bottom to see what kind (I told my mom it was the little round kind, but she still didn’t know what they were) and there were batteries in it, they just weren’t in right. I fixed them, and now every time I press the button Schneizel says “I think it’s wonderful.” I think it’s wonderful too, Schneizel! Well, another episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents starts in a few minutes. I better get downstairs.

Edit: The AHH episode was Lonely Place. It’s so disturbing.

76 Wallander Icons

76 icons of the British television show Wallander have been added. Wallander is a British mystery/detective series of based on a Swedish series of television shows and books. It stars Kenneth Branagh as detective Kurt Wallander, and airs on BBC One in the UK and PBS in the United States. I don’t love Wallander. I don’t have the same kind of feelings for it as Poirot, which I absolutely adore, but I do it. I don’t know why. Since PBS is airing it’s last “new” Poirot episode on Sunday, I found myself missing Wallander. I found out it’s not playing until October, and since I never focus on the future, I can’t look forward to it. So I made some icons to make myself feel better. Tomorrow I’ll do a real blog post, and a couple days later I’ll add some more icons. Definitely Kuroshitsuji, but other than that I haven’t decided on which other anime/manga series to do.

Can You Tell I Hate Titles?

Today is the last day of my mom’s two days off, then she works the next two days and has off Friday. She said we’d go out to Red Lobster yesterday, but we didn’t, and ordered from Domino’s instead. I haven’t gotten food from there in years. I got my usual, plain wings, and my mom tried their new pizza. We also got their new dessert Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes. I had their last chocolate dessert years ago and it was awful, so I wasn’t expecting much from this, but it turned out to be wonderful. Today we went out with her acquaintance Randy to DeBlasio’s. It was okay, and I managed to eat quite a lot. All my steak except the edges, 4 pieces of bread, most of my baked potato, and a few french fries. My mom had a surf and turf type meal, a steak and small lobster tail, and a few bites of salad and she was done. She was drunk by the time we got there. We went to his place first and she drank some vodka, then a beer, and was drunk after that, then had at least one glass of wine at the restaurant. After we ate we stopped in Giant Eagle since we almost never get to the store now (no car), but my mom was drunk and rushing around yelling that she didn’t know where anything was (she always does that though), so we didn’t get everything we needed. We might get to house sit for Randy for a week started Apr 3. I love his townhouse, and we were supposed to house sit for him when he went to Hawaii for two weeks, but he left early so we didn’t get to.

In anime I’m watching Durarara!!, Bleach (stay away from my Bleach you Hollywood creeps!), Hidamari Sketch, K-ON, Hanasakeru Seishounen, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Kanon, Kimikiss Pure Rouge, Gakuen Heaven, Air, Hunter x Hunter. I’m watching quite a few others, but these I’m watching somewhat regularly, and the others I’m just doing episodes whenever I feel like it. I still have at least 20 other series on here to start. I’m love my Bleach, Durarara (Isaac and Miria, you too?!) is my precious, Hanasakeru is okay, but I don’t like Rumaty/Lumati and hate all the crap about his country. I like Li Ren and Eugene. When the Cicadas Cry was better in the first scenario and has gone downhill from there. Hidamari Sketch is surprisingly likable. I’m not a big slice of life fan, Aria and especially Azumanga drive me crazy, but Hidamari Sketch is much better and easier to take. I have a lot more on here, so I’ve got to get moving. 748 more episodes to watch…

I don’t watch Dancing with the Stars often but I know the judges are jerks. That said, their score for Niecy Nash was very unfair. After that show I switched to Nick like I usually do at night, and I saw a new promo for the KCA with Nicola Peltz and Jackson Rathbone, where the Katara LA actress will try to “slimebend.” She was cute, but once again Sokka was called Soh-ka. I swear if he’s called that in the actual movie I will revolt, and I encourage all other Avatar: TLA fans to do the same. If Sokka is pronounced Soh-ka in the movie, Avatar fans should start calling them all different names: Cat-tara, Ung, Zuck-o, EE-roh, Ozaii (like Hawaii)… Anything but their real names. I saw the promo again the next day and it was corrected to Sokka!

Yesterday it was one year since all my health crap started. Right now I haven’t had much side pain recently for a few months now, little eye pain, no shooting pain, and some mild numbness. But my headaches, which I started getting really bad a few months after March 22nd, and the pains in my head are continuing. I’m surprised nothing has happened this spring yet, and hopefully it won’t knock on wood. It’s been one year since my health problems started, and two years since my grandfather and aunts house burned down (I always think Nanny’s house, but my grandmother died several years ago, so…) I don’t remember what happened the spring before that, but it’s possible the bowlegged freak was there and that was hell. Of course bad things happen all year round, but spring is a particularly bad time. Hopefully the streak will break and some good luck will start coming our way.

I don’t know whether to drag the computer into the bedroom, or wait and see if Bleach and Kobato are released… Edit: Bleach came out, I’ll wait a little longer for Kobato and then I’m going back to watch more anime. Edit 2: Got Kobato, getting off.

Because Schneizel is Hot

He gets to be my icon this time. Haven’t posted anything in almost a month. Just haven’t felt like it, and I don’t try to force myself like I used to. I went out a couple times with my mom to The Cheesecake Factory, and stopped at Joseph Beth Booksellers one of the times, looking for a Stephen King story. I’m so over that place now. They’re overpriced and their staff is so rude and pretentious. You work at a Joseph Beth bookstore, okay, not the Louvre! We were supposed to go to Red Lobster the Monday before last since I haven’t been there in several years, but my mom decided to go out to dinner with my visiting uncle instead. The dinner ended up sucking btw. Then we were supposed to go up to Eat n’ Park today after she got off work today, since it was an early day, but I knew she had changed her mind yesterday when she didn’t mention it. Whenever she says we’ll go out on one of her early days I know it’s not going to happen because she never follows through with it then.

I missed last weeks Melrose Place, Modern Family, Cougar Town, the past two Mythbusters, and the last Destination Truth. I’m probably dropping Modern Family since I do not think it is as good as everyone says. But I still like Melrose and Cougar Town, and Destination Truth has been really good recently.

In anime I’ve made it more than halfway through Cardcaptor Sakura, and am up to 70 on Bleach. A few more episodes and it’ll be my longest series. The current is Monster at 74 episodes, and then Blood+ at 50. I finished my beloved Toradora early this month, and that God awful Romeo x Juliet (Tybalt, Francisco, and Curio <3 though). The new anime season started around that time so I’ve got even more on my plate now. Some I’m really wishing I hadn’t started like Book of Bantorra, Tegami Bachi (sorry Fukuyama Jun!), and Seitokai no Ichizon. Also regretting Miracle Train a little bit, but I knew what I was getting myself into there so it’s my own damn fault. I’m liking Kobato. and Nyan Koi, Kimi ni Todoke is okay, but Darker than BLACK 2 is really going down in points since they’re killing off all the original characters. It’s just Hei (looking really ugly) and a little bit of Kirihara until they kill her off, then we’ll be left with Hei x stupid Russian Mary Sue loli, and all the new people. The other anime that I’m liking… well Bleach and Cardcaptor. I’ve really grown attached to them, it surprised me how much I started liking Bleach. It really is just a likable anime with lots of likable characters. Rented Memories of Nobody through Netflix, it was fun. I like Honey and Clover, but not as much right now as I did when I first started it (same with Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, though that’s “don’t like very much at all right now), and Prince of Tennis, Trigun. Fate/stay Night is okay, it’s the next most liked. Shangri-la is eh, but I can’t move forward in it because I’m having trouble finding the episodes. The only thing I like about Beck right now is the opening theme. Saki… omg, I’m pretty sure I said this before about this anime, but Mahjong is so boring! And since I’m not yuri inclined or a guy, no amount of big breasted, short skirted lolis can make it interesting for me. Maybe if it was a Mahjong death match then it’d be interesting (or some hot open shirted guys with some bishies thrown in for good measure, either way). The first Gundam and Evangelion… so not a mecha fan. 07-Ghost can be okay sometimes. At least Ayanami is hot, and sort of looks like Schneizel, so that distracts me enough to forget the show isn’t that great, and keeps me coming back. Unfortunately that was the same problem I had with Romeo x Juliet. Damn you hot anime guys!

I really, really want to continue with my manga. No new scanlations of Gunslinger Girl or Junjou Romantica have come out yet (I hate you scanlators) but there’s lot’s of others I want to get on with, and some I want to start. I might just give up trying to wait for a different computer and start again anyway.

Hmm, health wise there haven’t been any major developments except my toes have started aching most of the time, and I’ve had trouble walking after getting out of bed. It’s not like it’s numb really, but like it has no strength in it at all.

And lastly, aren’t my dragons cute? The last two might be dead soon since they’re not growing up fast enough. It’s going to take my other eggs a while to hatch, and my Pokemon egg who knows how long to hatch, since they have to be feed/clicked/page viewed/walked and it takes a lot of it. I don’t know what the Pokemon will be, but I know what the other eggs will be here, here, here, and here. Aren’t they cute? The first one sort of looks like a panda. I’d also like a Mo, and maybe a Bunthoff (got one!). Too bad you can’t see what you’re getting. I already ended up with two Punbundu because of that. (more…)

That’s Entertainment

Eh, I hate titles. Something weird happened today. My mom called in the afternoon to say that she’d see me tomorrow after work. She has off today but said she needed a day away from people and maybe we’d go out on Thursday. That’s not the weird part. She then asked me to check the mail to see if there’s anything in there from school about graduating. So after I got off the phone I thought that I had better check then since I didn’t hear anyone upstairs or outside. I try to avoid people as best as possible since I hate upstairs and I have too much trouble thinking and talking. I looked out and didn’t see anyone or any cars, but as soon as I opened the door someone came around the corner from the driveway. It was a short, dumpy woman with a lot of black, curly hair. Or at least I think it was, since I don’t remember things well. As soon as I saw her she said “Joann.” I thought that meant she was Joann so I just said “Oh… okay.” Then she said “Kayla.” Now I’m going WTF. “Are you Kayla?” she finally asked. That woman really needs to learn how to ask questions right. “No, I’m Megan.” Yes, I gave my name, I can’t help it, that’s why I don’t talk to people. I don’t see the harm in it anyway. “Are you Joann?” No, I’m freaking Megan! Didn’t I just say that? “No, my name is Megan.” “Well, the landlord told me to come to this door and give this (she had some sort of paper in her hand) to them, and that Joann and Kayla live here.” So I just told her, “He must have meant that door then.” There are two doors here, the ground floor one, and the one that goes upstairs. It’s possible, some people are too stupid to figure out that the first floor is the one on the bottom with the windows nearest to the ground. Yes, people are that stupid. “Well, okay then.” She looked and sounded like she didn’t believe me, which pissed me off. I was thinking Don’t take the tone with me you stupid little troll doll. But I just closed the door on her. Then I heard her knocking on the door for upstairs and ringing their doorbell, but there was no one home (which is why it was so blissfully quiet). I don’t know where she went after that. I immediately called my mom and told her what happened. After, when I had time to process things I started thinking. Why would the landlord send someone else, or send anyone at all instead of putting it in the mailbox. Was it like an eviction notice or something? Why would he not know our names, especially since this is the second time we’ve rented from him, and it’s not like he owns a whole complex. If she wasn’t from the landlord what was the point at all? I don’t see what she could gain from it. I don’t answer the door, ever, so if she comes back too bad for her.

I’m watching so much anime now, more than ever. 23 on my watching list, and 43 on hold. Thank God for MAL or I’d never be able to keep track of what I’m watching and reading. I couple weeks ago I got through about 50 episodes of Bleach to make it to episode 63, and finish the first arc. I really started to enjoy it, but I’m taking a break for now since it looks like it went back to filler. I still love Honey and Clover, Toradora has gotten really good, and I’m even liking Cardcaptor now, which I thought was boring at first. I also started 07-Ghost, Baccano, Beck, Fate/stay Night, Gankutsuou, Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Prince of Tennis, Romeo x Juliet, Saki, Shangri-la, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, Tokyo Magnitude, Trigun, and Tytania. I moved Tsukihime and Tytania to my hold list. Tsukihime’s first episode both bored and annoyed the crap out of me, and Tytania is freaking hilarious (I don’t think it’s supposed to be), but pretty bad. 07-Ghost is… okay. I think that cute bad guy looks like Schneizel a little bit. I wish Mikage would throw himself off a cliff and take Teito with him because they both get on my nerves. Baccano I’ve only seen the first episode of, but if Emperor Wakamoto says CARORU one more time… As for Beck, I really wish they’d just stick to Japanese and not try to speak English, and Ryusuke is just so unemotional. The characters are really hard to connect to. Fate/stay night got better after the first ep, and Saber is really pretty. I like her hair. Gankutsuou is an adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo, if the count was like a space vampire/demon. Dude is twisted. That’s another one where I can’t really like any of the characters, even though I do feel sorry for the kid, he’s annoying, and I hate the Count even if he makes me laugh. Kyouran Kazoku Nikki is hilarious but I haven’t liked the past couple episodes as much, and I don’t think Chika should have been added to the family. I’m not a big mecha fan so I don’t know how much I’ll get into Evangelion, but I’ve only seen the first episode, and you can’t judge a series on that. But still, the only monster that should be attacking Tokyo is G o j i r a. Prince of Tennis is surprisingly fun and interesting considering it’s about tennis. But if they ever make one about golf, I don’t care if it’s anime or not I’m not watching. Romeo x Juliet is nothing like the actual story. I hear anyway, not a Romeo and Juliet fan. I think they’re two stupid little kids who were infatuated with each other, not in love, and died over it. Stupid brats. I also think they’re putting in names from other Shakespeare stories but I haven’t read a lot of his plays so I can’t be sure. Romeo x Juliet is a little interesting, though it has its moments of annoyance because a lot of the characters are naive or just plain stupid, and they’re constantly doing stupid things. I didn’t like episode 11 too, in fact I hated it. I was just them wandering around being all lovey dovey. It was sickening, and boring. RxJ have already killed off one character I liked, and more might die or be dead already. Don’t leave me alone with those brats! Mahjong is so boring! Even if Fukuyama Jun is in Saki I don’t know if I can keep watching it. Shangri-la has its moments. It’s definitely got more interesting since the first couple episodes. Right now I think they really know how to work their audience. Bore the crap out of them, but intrigue them just enough that they stick around for more. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is pretty good, but I’m careful to balance it out with a lighter anime like Cardcaptor Sakura. This first episode of Trigun was funny, but it’s so distracting watching anime from before around 2000, since the animation before that was so low quality.

I’m staying away from manga as much as I can right now (which sucks because it’s so fast to read) since I don’t want to download much on this computer since it has to go back to my school. I don’t want to have it get a virus. But two series I have to stick with are Gunslinger Girl and Junjou Romantica. It’s always been hard to get scanlations for then, even though JJR is so popular. The scanlators for GG are still behind with 64/66 but by the time they get the next chapter out there’ll be more. JJR is even worse. It goes for months at a time without scanlations. Some people on the LJ community for it started translating some chapters, but since there are several different stories with different pairings in each they only do the ones they like, and the chapters are categorized by act not what chapter number it is. So I have no idea where I am in any of them. I think the last one for my favorite, Romantica, was Act 17, but I can’t be sure. Someone put a translation out for 22 and I read part of it before I realized I was nowhere near that one yet, which was why I had no idea what was going on.

I don’t know if I’m going to watch Gossip Girl tonight. I missed the last few episodes of the previous season so I don’t know if there’s any point. Then there’s 90210 and Melrose Place on Tuesday. 90210 started out completely crappy, the writing, the acting, the music, the constant breaks away where there was just music and shots of LA or people dancing, and that lame ass opening theme. If it doesn’t pick up soon I’ll drop it. I liked the first episode of Melrose Place though. I’m with the others who think Riley is a bitch. I knew I didn’t like her the first scene she was in, since she said hated Quentin Tarantino. Then she went on later complaining how her BF played with legos and watched Saturday morning cartoons. Legos and Spongebob rock bitch! I gave Vampire Diaries a try on Thursday. OMG. I hate you Twilight for bringing this on us! And I just hate you. Vampire Diaries was okay but I didn’t find most of the actors or the two vamps particularly good looking, yet all the characters think so. I think they drink too much so they’ve got beer goggles on. The good vampire looks like he went to Angel’s School of Vampire Acting. Unfortunately he’s not Angel, so he should unfurrow that brow and start showing some expression. The bad vampire is even uglier than he is, but a better actor. I’ll give it a few more episodes for I decide whether or not to keep it. Here is my TV list. Those italicized the others are shows I’m coming from previous season, and all the others are new ones I’m checking out. This list feels so empty without Reaper. My poor Reaper!
